While talking about the best eating-out places of Ahmedabad, one just cannot afford to miss the Manek Chowk Food Bazar, which is located in the heart of the city. The Food Bazar, which has a history of years, has a wide range of street-side stalls serving tasty and spicy fast food and desserts. Eating out at Manek Chowk Food Bazar is an experience in itself. Crowded and noisy, this might not be an ideal place to sit and dine if you are highly hygiene conscious. The place is thronged by hundreds of foodies every evening. You can also avail the takeaway facility that is offered almost by all the stalls put up there. Don't miss out on this place, as the food here is truly excellent. The Bazar has everything in junk food that you can think of, right from ganthiyas, to Indian Pizza, Pao Bhaji, Dosa, Navtar Samosa, Kulfi, and chaats. Sit down on the carpet and enjoy your meal. Do remember to carry your own drinking water. Check out the Italian Pizza, Pineapple Sandwich and Cheese Chutney Sandwich at Manek Pizza & Sandwich Centre (Ph: 22141933); Paper Dosa, Sandwich Uttappa and Gwalior Dosa at Balan Dosa Centre (Ph: 9426059488); Pao Bhaji and Pulao at Bombay Gulalwadi Bhaji Pau (Ph: 9925526490); ganthiya at Jalaram FarsanrnCorner (Ph: 9979147705); and Bhel, Sev Puri, Delhi Chaat and Dahi Wada at Anand Dahyabhai Bhel Wala.

A small place in a busy area but their dosas makes it one of the most popular places in the area. Rather than eating here I like getting my Paper Dosa packed and enjoy is at home. The crispy dosas are served with delicious chutneys…

Right at the middle of Manek Chowk Food Bazar there is Balan Dosa a place that serves some of the best dosa varieties in the city. Do try their Gwalior Dosa, Indian Pizza abd Sandwich Uttapam that tastes so different from anything that I have ever tasted. Street food is also a specialty of Balan Dosa and overall it is a good place to dine well.

Balan Dosa is located in a busy street of the city. I have been there several times and loved the variety of foods they have. It is a small eatery. Don’t look or expect for any ambiance at this place. Only thing you have here is food. I like their Paper Dosa, Gwalior Dosa and masala dosa a lot. They are delicious and lip-smacking. I love to have food at this place. Also, sambhar and chutney they serve are mouth-watering. Overall, it is a great place and good food. Service is insant. You order person making dosa starts his work.
