Vembanad, the new fine dining coastal restaurant is set on the rooftop of The Paul, Bangalore on the Inner Ring Road. With a lit Nillavillaku (traditional brass lamp) standing at its entrance the restaurant has a carved wooden ceiling, wood panelled walls, terracotta-tiled floors and heavy antique-styled teak furniture. They have recently redone their menu to offer even more rare and exquisite choices. Some of the dishes we liked include Meen Nirachathu, Erachi Pathiri, Chemeen Muringakai Theeyal, Chemeen and Koonthal Ularthiyathu and Thalasseri Kozhi Curry. The Alleppey Fish Curry goes well with appams made in a special trolley and served hot at your table.

The rooftop restaurant, Vembanad, ensures that the diners get best view of the city while dining. The food here is typical Keralite and the menu has lots of dishes to offer. The seafood no doubt is good, however, i relied on the chef to pick the best delicacies...
