This eatery cuts out all the frills. You go here only for the Mangalorean fare with its focus on seafood. They serve a wide range — from squid to crab, prawns and clams. Regulars used to rave about the Fish Curry and the Squid Sukka but, of late, Mangalore Pearl seems to have lost its zing. Still, on a good day, you can have a most satisfying meal of boiled rice, Kane Curry and Fish Masala Fry here. They serve a spicy Sol Kadi on the side. And for dessert, there are the earthy Mangalorean favourites like Ragi Manni and Caramel Custard. Nothing much for vegetarians here, though.
