One of the restaurants situated at the Lobby level of the Hotel Crowne Plaza, Electronics City - this is the Italian speciality restaurant. Aloro is derived from the Italian word for Laurel. The look is smart, the interiors are done in elegant chrome and glass with large windows, and a wall sized wine rack. It offers the diner a variety of choices - homemade pastas, wood-fired authentic thin crust pizzas, freshly prepared antipasti and a wide variety of superb meats and seafood. The restaurant also boasts a premium selection of Italian cheese, wines and Grappa. Their signature starters - Parmesan Trilogy with caramelized onions and Italian black truffle shavings; and Burrata Chesse stuffed with tomato mousse drizzled with sun-dried tomato oil are unique and exquisite. Notable mains are - Grilled Prawns with Sambuca Sauce and Homemade Angel Hair; and Braised Italian Meat Ball stuffed with a hard boiled egg and served with pot gravy and Ricotta and Artichoke Ravioli with Espresso and Tuna Sauce. Round off this wonderful experience with a Zuccotto - traditional lemon cream dessert served with homemade chocolate ice cream.

When i heard authentic Italian, i did not believe it since who can truly risk by not adjusting the food to taste like Indian. but an avid world traveler that i am, i have not seen anything in india as close to authentic Italian as Aloro. What a great surp

The ambience of the restaurant is very simple and neat which enhances the dining experience. The manager and the waiter who served me (don’t remember the names) were extremely courteous and knowledgeable. The best part of the dining experience is watching the tempting thin crust pizza getting done in the oven. The price is very competitive compared to some of the other Italian restaurants in the city. Overall a restaurant that is truly Italian.

Its finally great to have a place which is authentic italian with a stone oven. Have to try the white pizza's they are awesome, I didnt even know white pizza exist. bruschetta are to die for, specially the assorted ones which can be specially ordered. My daughter loves the pizza here and will be coming here again and again. Thanks chef for accommodating my daughter's request and making the pizza to her liking.
