Dine and Drink amongst cascading waters at this new Resto-Bar at 80 Ft. Road, Indiranagar.nnDecor 3½nFeaturing 'Island' sections separated by cascading water channels, this Resto Bar has a lovely resort like open air feel to it. Pinewood, bamboo and stone form the design elements here with a long white bar on one side. An elevated platform/balcony above the bar counter can host a private party with a view of the crowd below. The indoor section in the main building is more formal and meant for serious diners. A DJ station streams out what the crowd seems to like.nnFOOD 3nThe medium-well done steak@ '345 comescame elegantly plated with mushrooms, mashed potatoes, sauce and sauteed onions. Compliments to the chef for getting that right. The House Chef's salad@ '220 features all the exotic ingredients like feta cheese, artichokes, asparagus, capers and sundried tomatoes. We recommend the Thai curries@ '280 - 450(vegetarian/ seafood/ chicken/prawns) made with freshly extracted coconut milk and served with rice and crackers. The char grilled lamb with Rosemary @ `320 is an interesting take on combining Indian spices and a western herb. Thin crust Pizzas @ '320 - '380 are quite popular with some interesting variations. Sunday brunches are reasonably priced between '800 and '1400.nnSERVICE 3nThis seems to be a very popular destination and can be full even on weekdays, though service can be a bit slow at peak hours. Reservations are strongly recommended.nnPLUS and MINUSnThe restaurant has a rather large and interesting menu. The chef would benefit by pruning down some of the least ordered dishes. Casual dining is the key word here and the popularity of this restaurant suggests that it has found a niche for itself at a particular price point.

Indeed one of the coolest place in Bangalore to enjoy an astounding lunch buffet at an affordable price. The place is nice, and live music makes it even more special. An amazing place to enjoy a Sunday brunch.

The place does not match its name for sure although the place where i sat with my friends was fine. Their food is also ok types with nothing so special or not to be missed but their salad is quite good. You can go on try it but without expecting much from the place.

The Island may seem like a good name but some dishes do not taste that great although the beverages are pretty ok ok. Not a must visit also but it will be of no harm if visited once.
