Part of an old Mango orchard has been converted into this fine dining restaurant in the quaint locales of J P Nagar. Before you venture out to go there, ensure you have the right driving directions. As a neighbourhood restaurant Mango Tree is conveniently situated between L&T South City and Brigade Millennium residential complexes. Ample parking space in the backyard can easily accommodate about 50 cars.
Decor
The highlight of this restaurant is definitely its environment. The canvas like roof canopy, spaced out seating and solid wood furniture lulls you into a relaxed mood reminiscent of old Bangalore.
Food
For starters, we ordered the mildly spiced Aloo Haryali -Stuffed potato marinated in coriander and mint, Murgh Tikka Lababdar and 'melt in mouth' Mutton Seekh Kebabs. We followed it up with a wholesome main course of various Indian Breads, Paneer Tikka Masala, Jhinga Curry, Kali Dal and Mutton Roghan Josh. The portion sizes were substantial and pricing is reasonable. Mutton Roghan Josh stood out among the main course dishes, it was rightly spiced and wore a bright red colour from mild chillies. Keema Kulcha (minced chicken stuffed kulcha) was served piping hot, crisp near the base and fluffy on the top. The only disappointing dish of the evening was the Jhinga Curry which had chewy prawns and too bland to qualify as a curry. Desserts section lacked innovation but the Gajar Ka Halwa was not bad at all. The menu listed some interesting beverages which we didn't try this time.
Service
Service is courteous and attentive
Pros and Cons
Most of the starters and main courses were right on track for a delightful quite family dinner. If you stay in the vicinity and love rich hearty North Indian Food, Mango tree is your destination. With pocket-friendly pricing and large portion sizes, it is practical to use their efficient home delivery service as well. This place is also a huge hit with kids since they can run and play around while you have a quiet dinner. Birthday Parties and customised packages are available at economical prices starting at 450.

I usually do not prefer having mutton from outside because most of the time it is not well cooked and literary it is a struggle that goes between the teeth but in this restaurant mutton is so well prepared that it melts in the mouth.
Mutton Rogan Josh, Jhinga Curry, Keema Kulcha deserves your attention and definitely this place is worth paying at least one visit.

This is surely a wonderful place to visit with your loved one. I visited this place with my fiancé. We ordered tandoori mushrrom, murg jahangiri kebab and vegetable kurkure. All the dishes were a delight to have. The taste was awesome and the visit really made our evening even more beautiful.
