If the culinary map of Bangalore were to be drawn, this deep heart of South Bangalore would show up as decidedly vegetarian. Which explains the presence of 24th Main, an all-veg restaurant at the Cross Roads Inn serviced apartments. There is an easy-on-the-pocket lunch buffet which is very popular among office goers. On the menu, there's a mix of North Indian, European and Chinese dishes. But the best thing to order here would be the Karnataka specials. The Akki Roti with Hasi Menasinkai Sagu and Yenngai is a superlative combination. If you want to try the North Indian fare, the Vegetable Pepper Masala and Shaam Savera make the grade. They also have Yelneir Pithen on the menu. It's not a great-looking restaurant or one high on style but still it is popular among locals because the food is reasonably priced.

For all vegetarians in the city there is only one place 24th Main restaurant where delicious and many different variety of dishes in served. Karnataki is their main cuisine and in that they have mastery. Do have Yelneir Pithen and Yenngai here that have lip smackingly good and rated reasonable. I am not a lover of veg food but this place and its Karnataki veg food is irresistible.

You adjust with everything but not with food when you shift to a new city. The food was a big problem for me when I shifted here. Then I finally came to know about 24th Main that is located in JP Nagar, near my house. The place serves delicious food. I have tried almost every thing starting from Akki Roti with Hasi Menasinkai Sagu and Yenngai to the Vegetable Pepper Masala. The food is reasonably priced and tastes great as well. 24th Main is quite affordable place to have some great food.
