Elegantly furnished and decorated with deep leather chairs, tables polished to a gleam and carefully selected objects d’art on the walls, lend an grace to this place. The Library Bar at The Leela is for quiet, pre-dinner drinks, for communing with your single malt in silence or perhaps, some business talk. And the breezy pavilion outside, with its mellow light, is just right for a bit of romance as well. The bar is stocked with the best — from fine whiskies to high-end vodka and wines from across the world. The barman shakes up a flawless martini as well. You can nibble on Smoked Olives, dim sum or other elegant morsels. Service is spot on.

What really impressed me about the experience was the prompt effort of the staff to go out of their way to accomodate the customers. My friend was allergic to dairy products, and almost all of the food items contained some kind of dairy. When I mentioned this to the server , he said he would look into the situation. A short time later, the chef came out and explained to my date about the changes he could make to help her out and offered some solutions. Bartender came back and checked with her to see if things were worked out. So we decided to share some shishkabebs, which were as delicious as if they were cooked over a campfire.

While its open concept and lounge decor is new since July, one can expect the same non-commercial music direction it made its name on.
