It‘s very dark, smoky and not really top-of-the-mind when you think of nightspots in Bangalore. Still, Purple Haze has its fans, especially serious lovers of hard rock. It‘s nowhere like the newer, cooler pubs; this one is all dimly lit with only the pictures of rock legends lighting up the space. You wouldn‘t find the trendy set here; and some people wouldn‘t be caught dead at PH. But there are others who find a reasonably priced pitcher of beer, a plate of Masala Peanuts or French Fries and Kurt Cobain blaring in the background the best way to spend an evening.

Purple Haze is dark and very unusual as compared to other nightspots in the city. But for the hard rock lovers like me, this is heaven. Now combine beer with french fries or masala peanuts and Metallica playing at the background, what else do you need if you are a metal head. I simply love Purple Haze.

I decided to go to this place with my friends. None of us had been there. According to the name, the place was hazy kind of and dark. I would have been happy if it was have been a little more lively. But the food and drinks there were at a nominal rate which acted as a compensation.
