Malgudi is for food from all the four South Indian states - Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala and Tamil Nadu - and it aims to create an ethnic setting as well. But it's still not too high on the looks scale, sporting the style of your average Andhra restaurant. The Karnataka segment of the menu includes coastal dishes like the Kaane Fry. The Tamil Nadu food is mainly Chettinad, with some spicy offerings like Karaikudi Kozhi Masala. For a milder flavour, try the Appam and Veg Stew combination from Kerala. The food is satisfying, if not exactly spectacular. Service could improve greatly. Prices are a little high for the setting.
