The Umerkot Chef's new venture - Tattv - is an absolutely stunning experience. This new addition to Lavelle Road has an open kitchen facing the seating area. Stone Jaalis, Rajasthani Jharokhas and silver leaf reflect the richness of their aspirations. They use five styles of cooking, viz, Handi, Tava, Kadhai, Sigri and Tandoor, thereby signifying the elements/principles of cooking. They have a kebab buffet, and have created a menu around it. Vegetarians worry not they ask your preference at the onset and the table is set accordingly. On offer are exotic preparations such as Kebab Antableh, Gosht Taajdaar, Chilgoza Malai Kebab, Akhrot aur Kamal ki Seekh, Lal Maas, Murgh Dhaniwal and staples like Subz Jugalbandi and Dal Makhni. The latter compares to the best found anywhere in the city. For desserts do try their Chocolate Gujia with Kulfi. It tastes great.

Tattv is very Indian in its food preparation and serving. I have tasted their Dhungaar ka Murgh and Dal Makhni both are rich and very delicious. Good place to try out Indian dishes and due to their different way of cooking the food tastes prominently different at the Tattv.
