Cafe Mozaic enjoys the advantage of a perfect location, being right on MG Road and therefore is one of the city's busiest in-hotel coffee shops and one of the most popular once too. It sees heavy footfalls because of the quality of the food, which is a class in itself. There is a huge spread for the vegetarians and the non vegetarians. The lunch buffet includes Indian, Oriental and Continental fare. The South Indian section is especially good, and should please vegetarians. While the biz crowd finds this a convenient, value-for-money option, the a la carte selection includes all the coffee shop staples. On Wednesdays, it's a Khao Galli serving street food and other amusements. There's also a fun Sunday brunch with unlimited liquor. And if you are looking for late night options on a weekend then Mozaic also has midnight meals on Fridays and Saturdays.

If you want an interesting and unusual Buffet lunch, go for ""ONAM LUNCH" or "CHRISTMAS LUNCH". You will enjoy these special meals. Otherwise, this is just another food joint, which is very expensive. You can get similar or better food in nearby speciality restaurants where the price will be atleast 25% less.

We happened to visit this place about a year ago after an extremely tiring gruesome day shopping for Wedding Cards and driving through crazy Bangalore traffic. After the hardships of the day and skipping lunch we wanted to go to some place quite, where food would be available along with coffee / tea, hence decided to stop by at Vivanta by Taj MG Road as this was on our way back home. Upon reaching the Hotel we checked about the dining options available, and we were suggested to go to Cafe Mozaic. When we entered the place they were wrapping up the Sunday Brunch. Since the day was nice we wanted to sit outside by the pool, which initially was denied but later we were seated outside near the alfresco area of Ice Bar.
We waited and wired for someone to come with a menu and I finally went in to Cafe Mozaic and asked if I can get the menu. The person said he is coming and sent someone from Ice Bar. Person came in with only a drinks menu from Ice bar. I said I wanted the food menu and I wanted to eat something. He got us the menu from Cafe Mozaic but said he can only serve sandwiches here and if you want to eat anything else you will have to go and sit inside.
We asked them as to why they got us seated there if they could not serve anything and they did not have an answer.
We simply stood up and went to the reception and asked for the GM, but he wasn't available. All we could get was his card.
Later I wrote to the GM about our experience and all i got was a pre-drafted template based email thanking me to stay at the place and all that stuff. So much for taking out time to write an email to the GM.
Later I responded back to him that I never stayed and then he called me back with an apology and everything. Since that day I have never stepped inside that hotel and might never do again either.
