Veena Stores is a family-run eatery serving hot and steamy fluffy idlis to the people in Bangalore for years now. Never wanting to diversify or try their hand at other things. It's absolutely a no frills, no nonsense place where food does the talking. At given times, the footpath adjacent to this hole-in-the-wall eatery comes alive, bustling with people balancing stainless steels plates. The reason why they're there is what's on the plates: the softest, fluffiest idlis you'll find, served with a lovely pale green chutney and to wash it down a glass of strong filter coffee. The Medu Vada is another crowd-puller, fried fresh and served up in quick time and being devoured even faster. They do not use onion and garlic. All of which accounts for the queues of loyal customers. So if you want quick breakfast and don't mind standing in a queue in mid of a road, then do drop by.

Veena Stores serves some of the softest idlis in the city. The green chutney served with the idlis is yummy too. The fresh Medu Vada is delicious too. I find the Veena Store, quite affordable eatery joint. I visit here often to grab some great South-Indian food. On the weekends, the place is full of crowd. Looking at the ambiance, you find it average, but when it comes to the servings, the place can be counted among the best.
