Golkonda Chimney was once a popular hangout, especially with techies in the area, because it provided an away-from-it-all setting. The breezy roof-top and pleasing lighting contributed to this popularity. But in recent times, it's acquired a positively run-down look and is badly in need of a makeover. The service is frequently shoddy and indifferent and you could say the same about the food. The fare is billed as Mughlai, but it's regular North Indian you get here. Some of the kebabs are palatable, but the curries and biryani leave a great deal to be desired. So Golkonda Chimney is not the preferred eatout it once was but their Calcutta Kathi Rolls are worth trying out.

I have been to Golkonda Chimney a number of times and even though the menu is multi cuisine but I like their Indian menu where every dish is reasonably rated and tastes really good. I really like the kebabs and usually end up having mutton or seafood Biryani. Last time on a friend’s insistence we tried Chicken Zabardast which is another tasty treat from the interesting menu. Besides, the menu I like the open air seating area which has been made up impressively. During evenings this is a hotspot among professionals working or living in the surrounding area.

Golkonda Chimney is located on rooftop which is the only attraction of this place. The food is above average not because the standard of the restaurant has gone down but because new better restaurants have come up in the city.
Anyways, still kebabs are good, I even like biryani here. Try Golkonda Chimney you might like the food.
