Address is everything here. For the Shelton Grand, the hotel that houses Emgees, named for its address, occupies prime space downtown. It doesn't strive for any particular style and wears the nondescript look that most restaurants in budget hotels assume. If its excellent location is a plus, then so is the fact that Emgees caters exclusively to the vegetarian in this part of town. Therefore, you can't help thinking they could've done more with the menu. On offer is a hotchpotch - from Paneer Pizza to Kaju Masala and Veg Chilli Mili. But if you want to dine in a pure veg restaurant on MG Road, then here's the place. It's a pity they have discountinued the north Karnataka Thali.

Emgees is the gem of Hotel Shelton Grand that occupies maximum space on the ground floor. This is a very stylish restaurant that serves pure vegetarian food items from all across the globe. Veg Chilli Mili and Kaju Masala are must have dishes from the menu. After multiple visits to this restaurant I have realized that the menu of this place keeps on changing to add new wonderful veg dishes. Emgees is a extravert in terms of food as well as the interior and dining here with family can never go wrong in here.
