Karavalli (Land by the Shore), the speciality restaurant recreates gourmet recipes from the coastline that stretches from Kerala all the way up to sunny Goa at the Taj Gateway on Residency Road. It uses ingredients like smoked Kodumpuli from Kerala, toddy vinegar from Goa and Kundapur coconuts. Communities like the Bunts, the Coorgs, the Kerala Muslims and the Mangalorean Christians have each evolved a cuisine that is spectacular in complexity, unmatchable in divinity and unique in fiery flavour. To recreate the wonderful variety of flavours the chefs from Karavalli are trained in homes across the region to capture these recipes perfectly. It is therefore able to offer Kane Bezule, Appam and Veg Stew, Lobster Balchao, Crab Milagu Fry, Koli Barthad, Kori Gassi, Allepey Fish Curry and Pomfret Pollichathu with a level of authenticity that is unmatched.

Probably the best Indian food you?ll get in a decent setting in Bangalore. Overall, taste and quality exceeded my expectations, even with the rave reviews this place gets. Lovely ambience to go.
