Oh! Calcutta is one place where Bengalis in Bangalore find culinary bliss. It's the ultimate dining destination for this food-loving community and for everyone else who appreciates the nuances of Bengali cuisine as well. Every dish is a classic - whether starters such as the Gondorajer Beckti - beckti fillet steamed with the fragrant lemon, Kakra Chingri Bhapa and relatively plain ones like the Fish Fry. The fish curries are superlative, spanning the range from Rui Kalia to Beckti Tomator Jhaal and Pabda Jhaal with bori. But the pièce de resistance must surely be the deboned Ilish Shorshe. There's also Luchi and Kosha Mangsho and a brilliant selection of sweets. The place is stylish and elegant and the service flawless.
