One of the most stylish restaurants in the entire area, you could be forgiven for thinking that you have stumbled into an upper class drawing by mistake. The pictures on the walls, the chesterfield sofas, the country and western music all are like a private home rather than an impersonal restaurant. Even the menu uses designer floral prints and is one of a kind. The food here travels all over the orient, with a nod to the local palate and its love of chillies. Chinese, it has to be said, is the strongest section here, with a number of authentic Hunan favourites that you'll see nowhere else. Don't miss the Xinjiang Lamb Pancake Dumpling, and Chicken Clay Pot.

The other way an office colleague took me to Orchid Lounge, a wonderful home dining room styled restaurant that serves Pan Asian dishes. We both sat for a while and enjoyed the ambience before placing our orders. We ordered a couple of things and the best turned out to be the Chicken Clay Pot which is incidentally the signature dish of this restaurant. The evening turned out to be really a good one with good company in good ambience with great food. Orchid Lounge is relaxing experience.

For me Orchid Lounge is a perfect place relaxing and the food here is an added advantage. Even though this is a multi cuisine restaurant but it is safe to order Chinese and Thai food as they are truly awesome. This place offers few dishes that can not be found in any other restaurant in the city. Thus, great place for evening and weekend outings.
