The décor consists of Emu artefacts in every form and shape. From feather dusters, feather fans, feather masks and bracelets, Emu eggs and plenty of messages from leading vets assuring the clientele that the Emu is a perfectly well domesticated bird that is now being farmed in Namakkal, it’s like sitting in an Emu nest. Namakkal is where the owners of “Maya & Maya” have their Emu farm and if you read their pamphlet you will regret that you haven’t been an Emu eater all your life. For not only is the Emu meat tender, fat free and halal cut, we are reassured that “Wilderness Emus are raised without the use of antibiotics or growth hormones.” The menu is even more exciting — Hot and Sour Emu Soup followed by Emu 605 for starters as also Emu, heart and liver and Emu Volcano. Go straight for the main course the Emu Biryani, an Emu Chettinad, a dry Emu Sukka and two plates of Emu cutlets. And once you tuck into your meal, you might just begin to nod your head like Emus shaking their bottoms. It is sensationally good!

Maya & Maya Emu Restaurant has a very interesting decoration with various intriguing artifacts. This place is all about emu and the prime ingredient of their food is also emu. I had their Emu Chettinad and some starters that were lip smacking and unusual in taste. Maya & Maya Emu Restaurant is unconventional and yet delicious in its approach.

Maya & Maya Emu Restaurant has a nice and elegant ambiance. I like sitting there and having my food. The interiors are beautifully decorated with Emu eggs and feathers. It looks amazing. More than that what fascinates me is the menu. the restaurant serves great food. Hot and Sour Emu Soup, heart and liver and Emu Volcano and Emu cutlets. Everything is amazingly prepared and taste great. I love the food, the décor and efficient servicemen as well.
