All restaurants at Hyatt are located around its large, bright atrium - the lobby. Before you head for Stix, you will find your vision drawn to some of the most engrossing works of art, including a bunch of differently styled beehives. They are there for a reason: when the owner of the property visited the space it was occupied by the biggest bee population he had ever seen. Quite evidently, and you don't need Sherlock Holmes to deduce it, Hyatt Residency's theme became the bee. Stix carries that theme in its interiors. You will see some 'hiveish' alcoves holding a collection of typical Chinese tea pots! Most discerning guests will notice it has none of the overpowering reds so closely associated with 'Chinese' restaurants. Instead, it is done up in browns and overlooks the lush green garden that surrounds Hyatt Regency. Part of the decor is the show kitchen where Chinese chefs, imported from Beijing create authentic, fresh food right in front of your eyes, using ingredients especially flown in from their home land. "Nothing else will do," says their Director Food and Beverage. The Baby Spinach with a brown peanut and sesame sauce promises the unusual package of taste and health, while the dumplings make you feel extra virtuous as they are made using Tianming flour. Actually, none of the food served at Stix sits heavy in the tummy. The Chinese are reed thin people who eat fresh and healthy at all times. So the Kung Pao Kai, Sichuan style chicken with chilli and the Stir Fried Prawn in XO Sauce simply add to the nicely full yet light feeling. As you chat with the Chefs, you will find that the Chinese do not eat dessert. Fear not, though. You can get a peek into sweetness with Stix's absolutely fantastic Mango Pudding and share an Egg Tart with your companion. Both desserts have the perfect balance of texture, sweetness and, yes, calories.

The Chinese cuisine restaurant of Hyatt Regancy, Stix is one perfect place for Oriental food lovers like me. The ambience of this restaurant is very friendly and somewhat best for friends and family having kids. Till date I have come to this place quite a number of times and lamb Dumplings are my favorite in this restaurant. The food options in main course items are very luscious and Vietnamese Basa Fish and Stir Fried Prawns are the highlight of the menu. The Oriental food menu of this place has many unique dishes and Stix restaurant ambience is fine for a nice evening.

I love Chinese and had had enough of desi Chinese. When someone recommended Stix at the Hyatt Regency to me, I went in with a bit of suspicion. I was told that it was authentic Chinese cuisine. However, I wasn’t sure I could eat that!
The ambience is great and bustling with energy as the Chinese chef cooks away in the centre of the resto with gusto on large pans and woks. My friends and I settled for the business lunch that allowed to sample every single item on the limited menu. The food I must say was authentic Chinese!
The noteworthy dishes are the veg noodles, fried greens and the prawn starters. The dim sums are delectable too – make sure you ask for all the sauces. Green jasmine tea is constantly served and this helps digestion as well as adds flavour to your meal.
Tip: Go for a leisurely lunch or dinner; don’t rush through your meal!
The business lunch option is fab value for money at Rs 999 tax for unlimited food and all the menu options served.
