Lotus at The Park on Nungambakkam High Road, Gemini, is unmistakably Thai. It offers its clients an extensive Thai menu — all the usual Thai delicacies figure on it, but there's a creative twist that pleases the palate. The Prawns Fried in a coconut flavoured batter, fish patties on a bed of green mango salad and a melt-in-the-mouth tender Chicken Satay are some of the starters that you just can't afford to miss. The entrees come with seven interesting sauces - among these, the pumpkin sauce is a tasty surprise. The ever popular Tom Yum soup with prawns or chicken, the Thai green curry and red curry and minced chicken are all authentic, tasty, with the flavours kept at just the right level of subtlety. The chef has mastered the balance of the typical Thai flavours in his dishes, which are, hot sour and sweet. At no point do any of them threaten to take unfair dominion of the taste buds. The fire of some of the gravies, the sharp sourness of lemon, the subtle tang of lemon grass, weave potent magic on the table. Water Chestnuts in delicate coconut syrup make a perfect end to a meal that is satisfying and interesting in an ideal ambience. The decor is elegant and classy. The Lotus operates a buffet for lunch everyday. The extensive menu is available as an à la carte service for dinner and caters to both vegetarian and non-vegetarian palates.

One of the origin and most authentic Thai restaurant in the city that serves food at the right cost is Lotus Thai. I love their idea of making food with proper and native herbs and ingredients. As usual the Thai Red Curry is superb in taste and the tangy taste of lemon adds that extra magic to the food. The menu has perfect veg, non veg food option and so Lotus Thai is just the place one would love to come.

Lotus serves the most authentic Thai food all over the world. I went there few days back and had an awesome Prawns Fried in a coconut flavoured batter. It was just out of the world and I was feeling to have it again and again. The fish patties on a bed of green mango salad were just lip-smacking. The food was so good that you just can’t stop eating. The ambiance is another good thing at this place. At Lotus, you can enjoy your Thai food sitting a midst of beautiful environment. Moreover, the waiters are so prompt and friendly that they won’t let you wait much for delicious delicacies. Lotus is a must-to-go place.
