Eating at Donut House is an experience by itself. If you have a sweet tooth then this is the place to be. It is a no frills place with lamp shades resembling doughnuts. While you are waiting you can see the kitchen where your doughnuts are being made. Besides doughnuts they serve coffee, tea, milkshakes and spritzers. They have an interesting menu for a combo lunch consisting of salad, sandwich, donut and juice, all for RS. 140. On weekends they have breakfast combo menu which includes pancakes of your choice, fruits, oats sandwich and salad for Rs. 199. Blueberry Glazed, Cheeni Strawberry, Irish Coffee, Roasted Almond, Dark Mint Doughnuts are some of the hot favourites. You can choose from a range of 30 flavours. Its every vegetarians haven! Delicious and worth a try!

Even the lamb shades of this place looks like delicious donuts that they serve here. I not only love the donuts of this place and also love watching the way they are being prepared. The best part of the menu is the combo lunch that has salads and juice and few other things besides the donuts. This combo meal is low cost and so I draws me frequently to this place.

Donut House- A much needed break for Chennai-ites considering almost all the other metro city's have a Mad Over Doughnuts outlet.
Donut house is really trying to be like Mad Over Doughnuts. They just have a slightly wider choice which move's a bit outside Donut's!
So if you have ever really tried a Mad Over Donut or Krispy Creme you will understand that they are quite a league apart(Not much of a dunkin Donuts fan!)
The donut's in Donut house are not bad though! They do have the regular donut's that you would find in most other speciality donut branches like the glazed donuts, the choc filled, oreo, etc..
Quite honestly,I'm impressed with the additional flavors they have and it takes quite a bit of guts if you ask me to experiment so much, but its really paying off for them considering they have moved to multiple outlets in a few years of their launch!
The decor is pretty bright and Donut like, It smells like a dessert heaven and is usually quite busy!
Been there on multiple occasions and usually go for their alien donut! Now that's 1 good donut! After the alien, its the Oreo and finally the glazed which is my usual order considering the alien is a chocolate donut filled with truffel i'm assuming and is really sweet. Then the Oreo mellows it down a bit and finally the glazed which is a plain sugar coated donut makes you leave the place without being sick of a chocolate overdose from the alien donut!
The paneer sandwhich is also quite a winner if you have it hot and don't parcel it!
The pricing is about Rs 50 a Donut, watch out for their buy 5 get 1 free and a couple of more offers they always have :)
Verdict:A refreshing change to Chennai's food scene and a cheap sweet treat that can be quickly gobbled up on the move.Place is well kept, cheap donuts and a fun place for all kind's of people.
Note: I use donut and doughnut cause Donut house call's it donut:P
And,the word passing around is Krispy Creme is in town. Donut house needs to step up a notch!! :)
Favorite Dishes / Drinks: Alien Donut,Oreo donut and the Glazed donut!
