Just like an oasis, Pasta Bar is hard to find. However, one must say that it gives an equal sense of satisfaction on finding it. Tucked away in a corner of T. Nagar, this quaint restaurant transports its customers to the canals of Venice. One of the most striking features of this restaurant is its tasteful decor. Such a quiet ambience amidst the bustle of the city is hard to find. The food seems quite light and authentic. The Polpette Lamb Balls served here is a unique dish and worth a taste. Vegetarians can find delight in the Bruchetta Coi Funghi, a mushroom dish on light bread. The spaghetti is delicious, as is the Sesame Chicken. The pizza offers a refreshing change from the tripe peddled as pizzas in Chennai. The pasta is quite good. However, they need to improve on their dessert section. The Mud Pie was passable. There is a rich variety of dishes to choose from, all guaranteed to have tasty sauces and fresh vegetables. The waiters are quite friendly and know their menu. Open from 11am to 11pm, this reasonably priced restaurant deserves a visit from the discerning foodie.
