What’s in a name, but had not the “Coffees” been in the name, one could easily be forgiven if they thought it was a designer denim store. But instead of figure hugging fits and shapely forms, here everything’s designed to f(l)atter the figure and serve it up XL sizes too. The coffee shakes like the Very vanilla or the Crème Brulee come in tall glasses, rich, frothy, and the signature essences quite lost in the creamy richness. But they’re refreshing and last forever. The desserts give busy shoppers the desired sugar rush, and the brownies, doughnuts and marble cakes give little room for complaints. But the quiche is surprisingly flaky and the outer casing is more puff pastry than quiche pastry. The sandwiches too are generously endowed and Gloria Jean sure knows how not to penny pinch on cheese spreads, mayo, or fillings. Gloria may thy tribe and our waists increase!
