Tandoori Tadka from 5, Usman Road have re-opened here as New Tandoori Tadka a complete North Indian vegetarian restaurant. The ambience is very basic and utilitarian, though well maintained with efficient use of space. Straw seems to be the inspiration behind their decor. The starters were impressive and excellently plated, besides being exceedingly generous in portion. The Burwan Aloo looked great and tasted even better - a delicious blend of spices, the potato is cooked to perfection as is the stuffing. The Paneer Shashlik is so succulent and so soft that it melts in your mouth. The masalas on the paneer and the accompanying green chutney are both worth trying. In the main course Punjabi Pulao is simply outstanding. Perfectly spiced and light you can have it without any accompaniment. The Mixed Vegetable Dilba had a slightly tangy interesting flavour and the Bhuna Vegetables cooked in tomato gravy with some paneer were really delicious mixed vegetable balls. The Tandoori Roti and the crisp Punjabi Roti were both very good The Kulfi is authentic and traditional, rich in almonds with the flavour of saffron. The Coconut Roll with choice of ice cream is also unusual and very tasty, with the crunchy sugar mixed sauteed coconut flavour.

awesome ambiance, prompt service and mouth watering food. ambiance of the place is welcoming and happening. staff of the place is hospitable and polite. food was amazing...a delightful ambiance.
Favorite Dishes / Drinks: Platter, Sultani kebab, Pudina aaloo tikka, tandoori gobi, naryal ka kebab

In this hot south Indian city New Tandoori Tadka is the place that has outstanding north Indian food options. Their Punjabi Pulao, Paneer Shashlik and tandoori dishes are things to die for. The only thing that bothers me is that they do not have non veg otherwise every thing else is good and of course well cooked. Also the food of New Tandoori Tadka is little spicy which is of course absolutely fine with me.

New Tandoori Tadka is all about spices and its absolutely fantastic usage in dishes. Paneer Shashlik, Burwan Aloo of this place are example of how to use spices correctly.
Punjabi Pulao is available in quite impressive potion and the chutney that they serve with all the dishes in New Tandoori Tadka is the real tadka in everything.
