Located towards the end of Cathedral Road, Amaravathi is known for its spicy Andhra food. The restaurant is famous for its typical Andhra meals, which comprises regular items like Sambhar, Rasam, Kootu, Kuzhambhu, apart from a sweet, Banana and Beeda. But do not miss the spicy Dal Powder or Podi that tastes simply divine with dollops of ghee on steaming rice. If you do not care too much for a thali, then try their Chicken and Mutton Biryani, apart from the Vazahapoo and Keera Vadai.

My most recent Chettinadu cuisine appointment was in Kaaraikudi. But to be really honest I am disappointed. I had some Chettinadu Chicken Curry and Biryani but the flavors were not proper and in fact, the dishes looked half cooked.
One advice, Kaaraikudi seriously needs to improve its food quality and the way they are prepared.
