Sandy's is one of the best additions to Chennai’s food scene. Excellent location, excellent food and affordable pricing have turned this place into a very popular hangout for the young and trendy in the city. Service is quick and efficient. You can do a quick in and out if you have time constraints, or you can linger over your food.The place specializes in chocolates! As you walk into Sandy's Chocolate Laboratory, the walls opposite are a dark red and gold print with seating in the form of cubes of sugar scattered around the tables. White globes of light hang over the sitting area from where you can glimpse the deli area stacked with all manner of cheeses and cans, cakes and of course the chocolate. You can start with Chocolate Vichyssoise. The main course is a triple-tiered dish that cleverly combines tastes and textures so that you get a salad as the base, topped by the two freshest slices of fish. Once you are through with the meal, you can start all over again and drool over the desserts. It’s a bit like walking into a chocolate box. It’s worth a visit especially for the interesting ways in which they present their food.
