Chicken Butter Masala, legend says was invented by Moti Mahal Delhi, a restaurant that has lead the way for Punjabi and cuisine from the North West. We are in great anticipation as we enter Moti Mahal, Chennai chapter and I am glad to say that we are not at all disappointed. The ambiance is simple and quite unobtrusive; the service is great, with friendly staff ready to help with total sincerity that the food is exactly what you expected. Good wholesome North Indian food served with a lack of fuss and in good quantities, enough to make even the heartiest eater fairly satisfied. It is not just the ubiquitous kebabs and the butter masala that is good, but also the excellent vegetarian choices. We begin the meal with the Tandoori Prawns that are succulent and lightly done, the boneless Chicken Tikka is just perfect and melts in the mouth, Tandoori Ghobi and the Vegetarian Seekh Kebabs are excellent too. The main course is again a great selection beginning with of course the Butter Chicken Masala - just the way it was probably meant to be, Rogan Josh was full of succulent pieces of lamb, the tawa fish was tender enough to flake away as we begin to eat. The piece de resistance is of course the black daal, that is so yummy that we have to ask for seconds as it is polished of in minutes! A very satisfying meal that is so full of, melting in the mouth tastes and flavours, that we are already beginning to think of when we will be able to return for another!

I have had the best Chicken Tikka in the city at the Moti Mahal Delux Legendary Culinary restaurant. This boneless dish literary melts on the mouth and leaves me craving for more. Butter Chicken is also something that is a must have here. For complete Indian dining this restaurant is a must visit for all.

Moti Mahal Delux is the permanent venue for various celebrations for me and my friends. The food here is the guest of honor in every celebration and that is why we celebrate any and every random occasion.
Tandoori prawn, chicken tikka, butter chicken masala and rogan josh lip smacking and keeps calling us back to Moti Mahal Delux.

It was my sister birthday and she was demanding to have nice dinner in a nice place. Suddenly in few seconds the name of this place popped up in my mind. We went there and we ordered some different dishes. We had kebabs which was too good. Even tandoori dishes are also a must try. The staff are nice and very humble. Good place.
