Thalappakatti is like an oasis in the desert for those who want good food at reasonable prices. Located near one of the city's most famous landmarks, it captures the essence of South Tamil Nadu in every sense: decor, flavour and service. Their biryani has been an instant crowd puller from the time it has opened. The restaurant's other specials are Thalai Curry and Kodal Curry. They also have a wide variety of chicken preparations, including the Vatlakunda Chicken and Thalappakatti Fried Chicken, which rate among the best. The Dindugal Thalappakatti Biryani is truely delicious. The Brain Fry, Mutton Chukaa and the Aatakal Soup are worth trying. The South Indian preparations worth trying are Keema Dosa and Wheat Dosa which are mouth-watering. Beverages served are limited. Head to the desserts section only if you have space for it as ice creams are all what they have.

I love Thalappakatti because of the pocket friendly cost of dishes on the menu. I am a regular and love eating Biryani here. Kodal Curry, Mutton Chukka are also among my favorites. Thalappakatti is a sure a best place for eating economic food.

The food here is good but the quality seems to be different if u have it at another thalappakatti restaurant. The service and ambiance is good but can improve.
