Coming from the guys who’ve given us Benjarong, Ruan Thai, without mincing any words, is a disappointment. It is clearly meant for the mall rats who’re more ravenous after their shopping expedition rather than discerning about what they eat or how authentic the preparations are. In terms of being listed on the menu, it’s all there from Tom Yam to Pad thais and Massaman Curry to the ubiquitous red and green ones. But it’s an express job, made hurriedly for hungry palates looking for a meal on the fly and hunting for places to park themselves in a court that is perineally full, specially during lunch hours. The Crispy Prawn Spring Roll is hard and not what can be called crisp, and the Stir-fried Prawns with veggies and bits and pieces of zuccini, brocolli, but the pale broth is certainly anything but stir-fried. Surprizing, when all it has to do is to get a few lessons from Benjarong and get going.

Ruan Thai has the most popular Thai dishes like Tom Yam, Pad thais and red/green Massaman Curry. The service is commendable and one does not have to wait too long to the delicacies to arrive.
Ruan Thai is doing good but the food needs to be worked on to get the best of business.
