Tucked away in a corner of Mount Road is a quaint Chinese restaurant located in a hotel that comes across as unassuming at first glance. One is almost tempted to say that the Crystal Jade 'had us at hello', thanks to its ambience - beautifully calligraphed Chinese scrolls on the walls, oriental tables and soft instrumental music that transported us to Shanghai. However, the service here could not live up to the promise of its decor. The food (mediocre at best), arrived a tad too late, the iced-tea was still warm (sans the ice... merci) and a few desserts (we chose to go with the Date Pancake due to lack of better choice) on the menu had long been discontinued. The million-dollar question is, do we continue?

at Crystal Jade you can miss the food but certainly not the ambiance....it is beautifully done place...the decor of the restaurant is strikingly amazing...it is calm, relaxing and certainly the most comfortable place.....food is average and so the service,....
