Cilantro even though a 5 star coffee shop is quite laid back a place. There are no stuffed shirt attendants here. It's all very relaxed and very convivial. The friendly chef is always at hand to tell you what to order and what to go in for from the buffet spread. Of course he knows in an instant what your food preferences are. They offer a special international buffet. Here you can taste the most succulent prawns, dig into an awesome sweet and sour pork, savour sushis and sample sashimis. Yes, it's got everything in terms of cuisine. Okay, make that almost everything. Cilantro does frequent food festivals and pulls it off every time with flair and finesse. The non-vegetarian section in the buffet does full justice to all the meats - pork, beef, lamb, chicken, and fish. There are live stations for dosa, chaat, pastas, and, here again, it's the friendliness and cheer of those serving the food that whets your appetite and has you relishing their culinary wares. The buffet lineup changes every day, and they also have a Brunch option with unlimited beer and wine.

If you though that south Indian food is all about dosa, sambar and simlilar dishes, you really have to take some time out and visit Cilantro. Once you just have a look on the menu and you will understand that south Indian food is the inspiration behind numerous cuisines which is cooked around the world. Although it is a bit expensive, it is worth giving yourself a reality check. Highly recommended.

At a 5star hotels restaurant in a metro like chennai one would expect if they order some italian it will really close to authentic but quite contrary to that the italian at cilantro was very very poorly made i would rate pizza huts pasta atleast 3 times o

I have been to Cilantro a few times and i am impressed by their extensive menu and friendly service.
Everything is prepared really well..The Cilantro's seafood platter is simply amazing...
