Bronze artefacts of divine entities abound in the heavily baroque interiors. It’s all very regal and opulent. You will be served amidst splendour and luxury. But the food just does not match up to the decor. In fact, it is not even close. The Kebab Platter is borne to the table in style, but beyond that it fails to make an impression. The Lamb Shorba is good, but the prawn dishes are indifferent. The Jamuni Kofta, made of mawa dumplings, comes in hyped but misses. The menu has a few dishes identified as Chef’s Special, but don’t go strictly by that. The raan, lobsters (Lobster Calden) and Makhamali Paneer are quite the ordered items here, so go on, and take a chance. If you can curb your tendency to compare the food with its environment and price, it would sure hurt a lot less.
