White pepper is a Chinese speciality restaurant with a couple of Japanese dishes. They call themselves a dim sum delicacy place, you can choose from the Non Vegetarian dim sum basket or the vegetarian dim sum basket but the dimsums here leave lot to be desired. The dough and the filling share no chemistry, fighting as they do to get out of each other's skin. Had it not played up its dim sum deal, chances are one would have overlooked this design and construction flaw. The more appealing aspect of this place is its decor, done in red and black and white, giving it a very no-nonsense yet cheerful look and feel. The Crabmeat Soup is also disappointing. But it redeems itself with its Cheese Fried Chicken and Chicken Lollipop. The Chicken Sticky Rice Balls is also good. The service and servings get top marks.
