Away from the loud music and partying of Hype, 19 Oriental Avenue goes about its business quietly with an exhaustive wine list and cocktails priced a tad below what's served at The Imperial just a stone's throw away. Even though the decor isn't much to write home about - it's not nouveau, outlandish or garish, but just good old Oriental - ask for a seat by the window. Then order up the Sangatini and Gold Digger, though steer clear of the Rob Roy, which is a let down. Their California Rolls and Salmon Nigiri are what many in Delhi swear by and we are one of the lot. This is the right spot for an evening out with a group of friends when food and conversation is on the agenda, but only as long as you don't have loud friends, because most of the diners here are families who aren't very open to raucous backslapping laughter.

Located in the heart of the city, 19 Oriental Avenue is a must visit for people who love gorging on cuisines from the Oriental lands. What makes eating here more enjoyable is the fact that the service is great and the beverages served are also fresh and chilled.
