The food is pretty good at The Orient and, though it is a copy cat of Mainland China, it does offer value for money. The recommended ones are the Crispy Spinach with Pepper and Garlic, the Grilled Shrimp and Crab Cakes and the Silken Tofu Delight. Avoid the Dim sums - they are gooey and kaccha, disintegrating even before they are served. The other starter worth a shot is the Lotus Stem with Honey and Chilli. The soups are not bad either. Go for the Clear Fish and Chinese Parsley and the Sweet Corn Chicken. Do order the Steamed Betki with Ginger and Spring Onion - it is top-notch stuff, done just so. Also, the Stir-fried Greens are perfect with just a suggestion of sesame oil and the burnt ginger offsetting the broccoli, asparagus, pakchoy and cabbage. The Orient at Qba; is certainly worth a visit even if it isn't as original as the original!

I am being to the Orient at Qba for quite few years. Every time I visit there I feel if they can work on the interiors. It’s not bad but for sure needs improvement. Crispy Spinach with Pepper and Garlic and the Grilled Shrimp are some of my repeated menus. I also like Chinese Parsley and the Sweet Corn Chicken. The food is pretty nice but I feel the Orient at Qba needs a good makeover.
