Quite the most well-appointed little room in the capital, San Gimignano is the name of a small town in Tuscany, Central Italy. On winter afternoons, there is outdoor seating in a courtyard complete with fountain that makes you feel you are in Italy. Knowledgeable waiters who can actually discuss the (mainly high-end) wines help you through the menu. The Spaghetti with Lobster sauce is a rather intensely flavoured tomato based sauce. Carpaccio di Manzo con Salsa di Tartufo e Acciuga is a superb dish of carpaccio with a sauce of truffles and anchovies. Filetto di Manzo Asparagi e Parmigiano Reggiano is Black Angus from Ireland with asparagus and cheese. Sadly, the Mixed Mushroom with Polenta had too intense a flavour. The desserts have always been the weak link in this restaurant.

Every time I and my friends are in CP we prefer visiting San Gimignano as the place is good for tasting new dishes. The waiters are very well acquainted with the menu and dishes and actually guides us through with perfection. Carpaccio di Manzo con Salsa di Turtufo e Acciuga is an excellent preparation. There are some Irish dishes also that are unique and tastes different than what I had till date. San Gimignano is a nice place for trying nice dishes with the help of attentive waiters.

San Gimignano according to me is the best Italian restaurant in the city. They offer simple and traditional Italian fare and make sure it's outstanding.
Another thing that stands out is the attention that is given to service. The waiters are extremely well informed and very attentive to your needs. While having dinner we were discussing how it was my friends birthday next week and what he was planning to do. The waiter took note of this and at the end of the meal got a cake for him saying it was from the restaurant.
If you love Italian food, you'll love San Gimignano.
