It has always been frequented by the who's who of old-time Delhi, perhaps because of its location and its landmark status. Bengali Sweet House vies for attention, along with their neighbouring Nathu's. The chaatwallah and juicewallah have stolen some of the mithai shop's thunder, having become more famous than the host. The juice in particular is well known for its quality. Still, with hordes crowding this landmark, they must be getting something right. The mithai is not particularly Bengali, but Sohan Halwa, Chhole Bhature, Dosas and other snacks are popular. It is a quintessentially Delhi institution, nightmare parking and all, in the central part of town, with still affordable prices.
