Vegetarian thalis at rock-bottom prices are what makes Rajdhani (actually Khandani Rajdhani) rock. With the competition priced way above them, they become an obvious choice. Though it is supposed to be Gujarati food, do be aware that you are partaking of the North Indian variant: no sweet tinge in the food, not even in the Kadhi. The meal unfolds with the help of Smoked Lassi, a nifty trick that is the house special here: Do try it. The light-as-air Sandwich Dhokla and Dal Vada occasionally make their appearance as Farsaan, the famous side dishes of a Gujarati thali, along with Kadhi, two types of dal, two vegetables in gravy and a couple of dry vegetables. All this is endlessly served with a supply of Phulkas, Bajre ki Roti, Puran Poli, rice, Khichdi, chutneys, pickles and papads and concluded with Fruit Shrikhand, Rasogulla and Moong Dal Halwa. The thalis - both Gujarati and Rajasthani - leave you bewildered with the variety of dishes they offer.

Have been a patron of Rajdhani for a while but was left a bit disappointed with the with the quality of food and service at this outlet. The dal bati was their speciality was not that good and the dal and the rest of the things too weren't served hot until we specially told them. The other things in the menu, paneer too oily , undiyo, cabbage, dahi wada, meethi kadi, jalebi, custard, chamcham, shahi dhokla, even the rice were just fine.. The things that were good were the kachumer salad, the chaanch, rajasthani kadi, gattte ki sabzi and the thepla. Best of the lot was the akhrot halwa they served.

I went Rajdhani Thali Restaurant few days back with my family. I had awesome meal in the least amount. The food was authentic Rajasthani and was served in a proper thali. Other than thali we also had Sandwich Dhokla which was delicious too. For the sweets we preferred Gujarati and so ordered Fruit Shrikhand and Moong Dal Halwa. I must say I have never had such a delicious food. Rajdhani Thali Restaurant is serves reasonable yet delicious food across Delhi.
