Drop-dead glamorous interiors and food from Vietnam, one South-East Asian country that is under-represented on Delhi's culinary map. Whatever else you have, do not miss the Stir-Fried Angus in Pepper Sauce flambeed in bamboo. Probably a fusion dish, it is inspired in the way it effortlessly blends East and West together. Vietnamese food has traces of Chinese, Indian and French influences. The Vietnamese Duck and the Basa Fish Kari are worth a special mention. Pho, Vietnam's signature soup, is actually a meal in a bowl. Let it be said, a tasty, healthy meal. Even the desserts are French classics with Vietnamese ingredients like Ginger Coconut Caramel Custard.

Had probably one of the best Fish & Rice combination (even after being a Bengali & extremely picky in terms of choice & taste of food – specially Fish & Sea-Food) ever in my life. I'll drop by anytime now to have that Hanoi Fish & Sticky rice combination again and again and again. Other than that, we had rice crepe with shrimps, chicken & fine noodles embedded into it, sea-food soup & the Chocó moose desert - all of which were very nice and most importantly pretty different from the usual ones. Only the Calamari (squid) was a disappointment (a bit dry and the taste of the squids could not be felt). But the fantastic hospitality and the complimentary white wine and a special cake made up for that. The chef came himself for the instantaneous feedback and was pretty receptive.
The decor was decent, but may be improved a bit in terms of light & space to enjoy the evening on a little higher note, especially if you visit with your small kids. For a young couple, it might be fine though for a romantic dinner.
Overall it was a very nice experience. Fantastic hospitality, excellent food (some being extra-ordinary) and pricing within my expectation (Rs.4800 including all taxes & gratuity - for 3 starters, 1 soup, 1 main course & 1 desert – more than sufficient for 2 adults & 2 kids, plus complimentary stuff like wine & cake) made my evening.
My ratings: Hospitality (5 out of 5), Food (4 out of 5), Decor (3.5 out of 5), Overall experience & value for money (4.5 out of 5). Will re-visit for sure.
P.S. For a budget oriented young couple, my recommendation would be to try the Hanoi Fish & Sticky Rice combination, it would be within Rs.2000 & sufficient for 2 adults.

What lavish and extraordinary interior Blue Ginger restaurant has! Truly impressive and definitely has a lot of revisit value. Good Vietnamese food is the specialty of this restaurant and I love their Basa Fish Curry that has distinct flavors of Asian spices and herbs. Blue Ginger also has really good Duck dishes. Must visit for food lovers in the capital.

I just loved the place. Everything is perfect - the food, decor and ambience. I think its the only restaurant that offers Vietnamese cuisine. A must visit..!!
