China Club has a handsome room with private dining areas and a glassed-in kitchen in which you can see an army of Sichuan chefs at work. Crowded at mealtimes throughout the week, it is just as popular as when it first opened its doors. It helps that it is located on the ground floor of a complex that you can drive right up to. China Club has been able to maintain its quality. It is one of the few Chinese restaurants to serve cold starters: a typically Chinese concept. The best of these is Chinese Fungus with coriander and Chilli and Steamed spinach and cucumber with peanut mustard sauce. Do try sliced tenderloin with dry chillies and peanuts. Spicy Shredded Chicken is redolent with the flavour of Sichuan pepper. The other notable entrant is Sauteed Sliced Sole with Bamboo Shoot and Celery Home Style.

Last Sunday was my 5th trip to the restaurant and all 5 times there was one thing that has been Consistent i.e. Poor Service. The shocking thing here is not the speed of service which is the biggest pain ( the speed is also v v slow) but the attitude is which is a Biggest Issue. I would have been served by all the Waiters and Captains in the Restaurant during my past visits but all have been very disappointing. I don't understand if the waiters/captains/host do not have the correct service attitude why are they in the service industry? I don’t see comments about poor service on this website but if you visit others like burrp.com you will understand what I am talking about
- If you complain or point of anything missing in the food, speed of service of food or beverage, desert buffet etc. you will immediate get a stern reply and the person will move on…
Eg.
On Sunday brunch, I waited for 15 mins for someone to attend me then 25 mins delay to get food on the table, when I asked the waiter, he said the restaurant is full and it bound to take time.. not only did he say this but the way he said it was as if I was a lesser mortal and it is was so obvious that I should have asked at all
One time I ordered for Mojito and what I get was Mint Julip (which is salty). When I returned the server captain said mistake must have happened (smirked at if no big deal) and went and got a new one
The kitchen was closing down (afternoon), and we were being served starters and main course at the same time. When we asked to delay the main-course by 5 mins of gap between the two, the comment came from the server was that the Chef is not going to cook all evening . We found his response not appropriate and when we asked the captain to comment on waiter’s comment, he said that’s how it is
I have many more examples ..

This restaurant is definitely one of the best in gurgaon. Though its expensive but nice enough for that special occasion. They also have a great wine collection bar,in fact goes right upto their high ceiling.
See through kitchen, great ambiance and fantastic food.

China club is a value for money Chinese restaurant with a good ambiance, friendly staff and what counts good food. Worth a visit. The king prawns and sole fish was too good.
