Salad Chef is primarily a takeaway joint although about 15 persons can be seated at the flagship outlet in Vasant Vihar. It offers a large selection of salads and sandwiches. But it's really the salads that are the winners. They are so innovative and delicious that you can chomp on a three-course salad meal! Yes, there are even those that can be eaten for dessert! Try the Chicken Fruit Fantasy, Spanish Chicken Salad, Herbed Grilled Chicken Salad, Ham & Pasta Salad, and Som Tam (Thai papaya salad). Cucumber Salad in Sour Cream, Barcelona Salad, Greek Salad, Spanish Olive Salad and Italian Rice Salad with Olives are all VFM. Among the sandwiches, Chicken Spring Onion Cheese, Tuna Melt Cheese and Smoked Chicken-Lettuce-Tomato are hugely popular. It's sad that two of its outlets had to be closed. Isn't Delhi yet ripe for raw salad?
