An exhibition by PIX— A Photography Quarterly, involved in investigating and engaging with broad and expansive fields of contemporary photographic practice in India. The show features a series of photographs inspired by the notion of 'freedom' that highlight how a circumstance, a point of view or even an idea may liberate an individual, an artist, the society, or even a perspective. How does freedom – or the lack of it – impact our everyday lives? The visualisation of 'freedom' is expressed through actions, through notions of identity, through forms of resistance, or even through the power of a portrait. Participating photographers include AM Ahad, Nariman Ansari, Zachary Becker, Enrico Fabian, Andrea Fernandes, Sam Harris, Sunny Lamba and more.
