Born in the lap of the Lord (literally), Sufism is a way of life for qawwal Hasnain Nizami. The 10 - member group which has been enthralling devotees at the Hazrat Nizamuddin mosque for years, offers music lovers a chance to sample the capital's rich culture curry. This Sunday, drown yourself in the mystical kalaam of Sufi saints such as Amir Khusrau and Bulle Shah. It's as holistic as it gets.

Qawwals from the shrine which houses the graves of 13th century Sufi saints Hazrat Nizamuddin Auliya and Amir Khusrau, have attained the status of Delhi's Sufism ambassadors over the years. Having learnt the art under the aegis of his father, Mohd Hasnain Nizami and his group connects one to the almighty through verses which speak of divinity, selflessness and above all, love.
Accompanied by musicians on percussion and rhythm, Nizami's voice treads a path that takes one on a journey to oneness of the soul. And that's what Nizamuddin Auliya teaches - humanity.
