This Sichuan restaurant with smart, all-black interiors has two branches. Celebrity chef Mike Le Wei is associated with the Greater Kailash branch, and it is this that scores over the other one. It is Sichuan fare: hot and spicy, true, but with flavours beyond the spice dimension, which is what makes it irresistible. For appetizers, try the luscious Lamb Ribs with Chilli and Caraway. Likewise, the Pork Spare Ribs with Black Pepper is good. The Stir-Fried French Beans with Dried Chilli and Ya Cai Preserved Vegetables are absolute-musts! The Sichuan Hot and Sour Soup with Chicken is a bit of a cliche, but why go to Hao Shi Nian Nian for mere cliches anyway? For the main course, recommendations include the superb Braised Pork with Soya, Braised Tenderloin with Chilli Oil, Pomfret Shanghai Style and Crispy-fried Prawns in Soya Sauce. End the meal with the Chocolate Roulade. Worth a visit.

Spicy Chinese food served in a dark ambience and this was my first impression of Hao Shi Nian Nian restaurant. The food dishes of this place are just fabulous and within a posh area this place surely deserves some notice and attention. The most pleasing dishes from the menu are Pomfret Shanghai Style, Crispy Fried Prawns and all the chicken dishes. Hao Shi Nian Nian is popular among my friends’ group also.

I've been going to Hao Shi Nian Nian for a few months now and have always found the food to be decent.
Was there again today with a few people and the food was awful. I don't know what's gone wrong but everything we ordered was bad and was spicy beyond belief.
Don't think I'll ever go there again.
