Shikara, a little wayside eatery cum take away ( mostly take away ) in GK I, promises to be a treasure trove of chalu Punjabi dhaba style khana available at ridiculously inexpensive prices. But do be warned the food here is greasy, rich, heavy and spicy exactly what the good doctor didn't order for the triglycerides. The Dal Shikara, the Butter Chicken, the Tangri Kabab, the Chicken Tikka, Kadhai Paneer, Masala Mushroom and the Keema Mattar each float in to an inch of oil. But, clearly, singles, students, bachelors and even families in the neighbourhood choose this as a quick, last minute option for a VFM meal.
