As you age you develop a way of life. Chungwa too has been there for long, has a formula and sticks to it. The interiors are smart and the location, in a central part of the GK II Market, is easy to find. They serve the Delhi version of Chinese food, but they do it with elegance, so unless you are a stickler for the real deal, you ought to have a good meal here. So you'll be given the choice of Broccoli with Corn Sauce and Cantonese Style Soy Chicken as well as Chili Chicken Dry and Vegetables Hot Garlic Sauce. Good value for money!

On our wedding anniversary, four of us had dined in Chungwa at M-Block Market, GK-II…an eatery promoting website mentioned that prior reservation is 'must' for the restaurant. But on a Wednesday evening, the clientele was rather thin as we were promptly accommodated in the ground-floor section of the restaurant.
We started with one portion each of lemon coriander soup with chicken & thukpa with chicken costing Rs.169.00 each. Two portions of soup divided amongst four us were of sufficient quantity and they tasted really good. As starter we ordered diced pepper chicken (Rs.319.00), which was very well prepared and enjoyed by all. In the main course, we asked for chicken in black bean sauce (Rs.319.00) and Szechwan lamb (Rs.319.00) to go with one portion each of veg. hakka noodles (Rs.139.00) and veg. fried rice (Rs.139.00). The food, served in enough quantities, truly appealed to our palate. Our request to tone down the spices was rightly adhered to.
As we were leaving we asked our children (young adults) about the quality of food in Chungwa…both emphatically approved my choice of the restaurant. We would love to go back to Chungwa for its friendly waiters helping us with informed choices, subdued ambience and of course for an affordable price-line.
