Pleasantly old-fashioned in the nicest way possible, the branch at Excalibur scintillates with brilliance. For one, traditional North Indian food is what is offered. You won't get nouvelle Indian here. There's only Butter Chicken with the optimal ratio of sweetness to tanginess, Dal Makhni that pre-dates Dal Bukhara's over-use of tomatoes, Pindi Chana that is dark in hue and ever so slightly sour, and Rogan Josh actually made by a Kashmiri waza. Overdose on the food of Delhi's restaurants of the Seventies: You're unlikely to find it elsewhere. The Tandoori Raan is the finest in the city by a wide margin. The far smaller branch in Noida is not exactly in the same league, but is conceptually the same.

Earthen Oven is one place I am visiting since years now. It is quite a cozy place with beautiful interiors and comfortable sitting arrangements. Initially I used to like its Tandoori items a lot and so even this time I ordered same. I didn’t find it as good as previously. Its Dal Makhani and butter chicken are still delicious and yummy. Service of the place is still good and staffs are quite hospitable as well.
