After almost 100 years in the business, Karim's is still the only successful commercial establishment in the NCR that attempts true Mughlai food. Though there are moans about declining standards, they stand alone. The Mutton Burrahs are easilyrnthe best in the city. They are practically the only place to serve Nihari and Paaya, which you can be sure will be finished by 8.30am.Other unmissables are Stew (pronounced Ishtoo), Mutton Korma, Shami Kebab and Shahjahani Korma. Thernfood is great value for money and the original outlet in Jama Masjid is far more atmospheric than its various branches.rnWestern tourists, South Delhi foodies and locals in traditional attire all sit shoulder to shoulder and enjoy the food, which is as heavy and floating in oil. Still, Karim's remains eternal!

What can i say about the legends? I had meals at Karim's every time i went to Purani Dilli and always came out satisfied. They serve authentic Mutton Burra and there Sheermal is better den any other place in Delhi. Its a must visit place.

This is second time we visited Karim's, one was three years back and last day. Both time service was so poor with bad taste of food. I am glad, I know better places to visit in Old Delhi than Karim's. On the name of Biryani, Karim's serve plain rice bluffing with eggs. They are earning clients because of their old name/fame, now which won't seem there.
We (my friends) won't visit this place in future.

Hold On!!! I have my reasons to rate Karim's 4.00. It would indeed be a culinary blasphemy if I don't back it up with an apposite answer. It was a saturday and I don't eat NV. Albeit, my friend had the legendary burrah's, ishtoo's(Well I had lost track after my 30th visit)...I had to satiate my hunger with the ever so succulent and fresh paneer tikka and a supreme concoction of flour and milk , sheermal..ended my day with the quintessential mughal dessert phirni...which I felt was not of my liking and does not compare to its main course contemporaries. But certainly, Karims dominance is underscored by its delicacies which are pleasing to the most refined palate. The mutton raan I believe is the most assorted delicacy and you try it if and only if you are you are a tandoor fanatic.. The burrah,The mutton stew(Actually read Ishtoo at Karim's) and the brain curry are the ones which have actually rocketed it to the few notch eating joints in the world and has carved out its niche in the faculty of gastronomy
