Newly renovated with designer Italian furniture from Moroso, sheep skin clad walls with coach stitches, golden Italian chandeliers with Swarovski crystals, Nero-The Bar at Hotel Le Meridian is both chic and modern and the mood lighting adds to the ambience. The bartender is well informed about the spirits served here, though the cocktails are not very good like the Sake Rinha or the Whiskary which is Bloody Mary with a twist made with black label instead of vodka. The Bellini however, though not traditional is made with canned peach puree. Sticking to the straight drinks is a better idea. They have an excellent wine list, with the likes of Laurent Perrier and taittanger champagnes. Enjoy this with Sheesh Taouk, Smoked Sausage Wrapped in crispy bacon, Crispy Mozzarella Paprika Rolls or the Crispy Potato Skins with garlic aioli.
